Design Technician | Oldham | Office-Based | Full-Time | Salary dependent on experience

Are you the right person for the job?

  • Ideally a degree in Civil Engineering
  • Experience in producing design drawings, calculations, and material call-offs
  • Knowledge of Ischebeck/Inform formwork products and the ability to design each system
  • Ability to develop CAD skills and adopt the latest software and techniques
  • Accepts responsibility for actions and decisions, ensuring ethical, efficient, and cost-effective work practices
  • Able to adjust to changing priorities and demands, using critical thinking to address challenges

What will your role look like?

  • Produce design drawings, calculations, and material call-offs under the supervision of your Line Manager
  • Review your own designs for accuracy before submitting them to the Team Leader for approval
  • Check other team members’ preliminary drawings as requested by the Team Leader
  • Liaise with the sales team and clients as needed, under the guidance of the Team Leader/Senior Engineer
  • Provide on-site assistance as requested by your Team Leader
  • Continuously improve your design capabilities through training as directed by Senior Design staff
  • Stay up-to-date with industry standards and construction techniques
  • Assist in the training of formwork trainees in your team
