Randstad is looking for an enthusiastic SEMH Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team at a school in Oldham. In this vital role, you will work closely with students who require additional support to overcome challenges and reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to students with SEMH needs both individually and in group settings.
  • Assist in the implementation of personalised learning plans and behavioural interventions.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff to foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Helping students learn and ensuring the classroom is a safe learning environment.
  • Monitor and track student progress, offering feedback and guidance.

Requirements:

  • Experience working in the UK with children or young people, especially those with SEMH needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine commitment to supporting student's educational needs.
  • Enhanced DBS is mandatory (If you do not have a DBS on the update service you must be willing to apply for a new one).
  • Eligible to work in the UK (No Sponsorship provided).
