We are looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and supportive school in Oldham. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to support students in their learning and development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide classroom support to teachers, helping to deliver engaging lessons.
  • Work with small groups or one-to-one to support students who need extra help.
  • Assist in the preparation of learning materials and classroom activities.
  • Encourage positive behaviour and support students' social and emotional development.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and staff to create an inclusive learning environment.
  • Support students with special educational needs (SEN), adapting resources where necessary.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working in a school or with children is desirable.
  • A Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 or 3) is preferred but not essential.
  • A patient, nurturing, and proactive approach to supporting students.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • An understanding of safeguarding and child protection (training will be provided).
  • A valid Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
