Job Description:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Electrical Project Engineer to join our clients' dynamic team based in Oldham. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that electrical engineering projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety for our client who are a major energy, building services and infrastructure company.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management: Oversee and manage the full lifecycle of electrical engineering projects, from initial planning and design through to completion. Ensure all projects are delivered according to the plan, programme, and budget.
Technical Expertise: Apply your technical engineering experience to solve complex challenges, provide innovative solutions, and ensure that all technical aspects of the project meet the required standards.
Communication: Maintain excellent communication with all stakeholders, including internal teams, clients, contractors, and suppliers. Build and sustain strong working relationships to facilitate smooth project execution.
Programme Sequencing: Develop and manage the sequencing of the programme of works, ensuring efficient use of resources and time.
Site Monitoring and Documentation: Regularly monitor on-site works to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards. Prepare and manage all site documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Meetings and Coordination: Attend and actively participate in project meetings, coordinating with all parties to ensure alignment on project goals, timelines, and deliverables.
Risk Management: Conduct thorough risk analysis and management to identify potential issues early and implement effective mitigation strategies.
Labour Management: Oversee and manage site labour, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and high productivity levels.
Health & Safety: Ensure that all health and safety protocols are adhered to, maintaining the highest standards of H&S practice on-site.

Qualifications and Experience:

Relevant industry qualifications.
Project Experience: Proven experience in managing large-scale, high-value electrical engineering projects.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant software. Strong IT skills, including the use of project management and office software.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders at all levels.
Health & Safety: In-depth knowledge of H&S regulations and best practices within the engineering and construction industries.
