Surveillance Network Engineer£45,000 - £55,000 Location: ManchesterHybrid Working (2 days on site)Exciting new role working for one of Europe's leading security specialists. As they continue to grow, they are seeking a talented and experienced Surveillance Network Engineer to join their team and play a lead role in delivering secure and reliable solutions to their clients.As a Surveillance Network Engineer, you will directly support the Group Head of IT to design, implement and deliver CCTV systems and surveillance networks. You will work closely with clients, project managers, and other engineers to ensure the seamless integration of surveillance technologies into robust network infrastructures. This is a varied role that involves both hands-on technical work and interaction with key stakeholders. This is a predominantly remote support role, with occasional travel.Key Responsibilities:
  • Support with the design, configuration, and maintenance of IP surveillance systems.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain networked surveillance systems to ensure optimal performance and uptime.
  • Support the product development team by providing technical insights and feedback to enhance surveillance solutions.
  • Support with the installation and configuration of switches, routers, and other networking equipment to support surveillance solutions.
  • Where required, produce technical documentation, including network diagrams and installation plans.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and tailor solutions to their needs.
  • Working alongside the wider IT function to be able to remediate incidents.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies in surveillance and networking.
Key Skills and Experience:
  • Demonstrable experience with IP-based CCTV systems.
  • Proven experience of stakeholder management.
  • Strong understanding of network protocols, including TCP/IP, VLANs, PoE, and QoS.
  • Hands-on experience with configuring switches, routers, and firewalls.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to troubleshooting.
