Contract Type: Full-time, Monday to Friday 8:30am-3:30pm

About the Role:

We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Inclusion Support Worker to join our team and support students with additional needs, ensuring they have equal access to education in a supportive and inclusive environment.

As an Inclusion Support Worker, you will work closely with students, teachers, and support staff to help remove barriers to learning, promote positive behaviour, and encourage engagement in school activities.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to students with special educational needs (SEN), SEMH (social, emotional, and mental health needs), and other additional needs.

  • Assist in the development and delivery of individual learning plans (ILPs) and behaviour support strategies.

  • Work 1:1 or in small groups to help students access the curriculum and develop their confidence.

  • Foster a positive and inclusive school environment where every student feels valued and supported.

  • Support students in managing their emotions and behaviour, promoting positive social interactions.

  • Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to implement effective support strategies.

  • Monitor and record students' progress, providing feedback to staff and parents/carers where necessary.



Requirements:

  • Experience working with children or young people, preferably in an educational or support setting.

  • A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting students with diverse needs.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work well as part of a team and build positive relationships with students and staff.

  • A relevant qualification (e.g., Health & Social Care, Childcare, or Education) is desirable but not essential.
