An established accountancy firm in Oldham is looking for a motivated Assistant Client Manager to support the delivery of high-quality services to a diverse portfolio of clients. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is either newly qualified or part-qualified and ready to step into a more client-facing, hands-on role.

You’ll work closely with senior management and be a key point of contact for clients, overseeing the delivery of accounts, tax, and advisory services.

Role Responsibilities
  • Supporting the Client Manager in handling a varied portfolio of clients, including limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships
  • Preparing and reviewing accounts, VAT returns, and corporation tax computations
  • Acting as a key liaison for clients, answering queries and building strong, professional relationships
  • Delegating work to junior staff and reviewing completed work for accuracy
  • Supporting the development of more junior team members through on-the-job guidance and feedback
  • Assisting with ad hoc advisory projects, business planning, and client meetings
  • Ensuring that deadlines and compliance requirements are met

Candidate Requirements

  • Confident communicator who enjoys building client relationships
  • Experience using cloud accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks or Sage
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to grow within the firm
