The Job: MOT Tester

  • Perform MOT tests on a range of vehicles, ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
  • Inspect vehicle components including brakes, lights, steering, and tyres for functionality and safety.
  • Diagnose faults and recommend necessary repairs or adjustments.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections and ensure all paperwork is completed in accordance with regulations.
  • Communicate findings clearly to customers, providing explanations of any issues discovered during testing.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations while working in the workshop environment
  • Team player willing to assist in workshop carrying out light vehicle maintenance, when not performing MOT's

Job Experience: MOT Tester

  • MOT Licence is essential in securing this position
  • NVQ Level 3 Vehicle Technician or equivalent
  • Must have a full drivers licence with less than 9 points
  • Confident with mechanical vehicle repairs
