QC Laboratory Manger, Chemical Location: Manchester (onsite) Type: Permanent Additional: Company profit share bonus scheme, 24 days holiday +1 day for birthdays (increases with long service), reduced hours in August, Health shield cash plan, company pension. Our client a leading UK Chemical manufacturing company is looking to recruit for an experienced Snr Chemist looking to step up in their career or an experienced Lab Manager. This role, based out of their laboratory hub (separate to the main site) will involve direct line management of a small QC team.The Role: -ØResponsible for ensuring that product meets correct specification before being delivered to clients.ØResponsible for leading investigations related to or impacting QC department responsibilities and implementing corrective actions.ØResponsible for using data from investigations to identify business improvements. ØEnsuring the department works within the health and safety rules and procedures on site.ØManage QC team, responsible for staff development and training.ØEnsure QC processes are documented and updated. ØIdentify and implement QC test improvements (including new equipment).ØWork with other departments to ensure efficient business operations.ØHave an in-depth understanding of operational activities on site.The Person:- ØWill hold a degree in a relevant discipline (ideally Chemistry based).ØThe ideal person will have worked in a chemical/ QC based setting in a similar role.
