SEMH Teaching Assistant in KS2:

Location: Oldham

Start Date:ASAP

Contract Type: Permanent, Full Time

GSL Education are looking for a teaching assistnat to work within a SEN provision within a mainstream school that would be working with pupils with SEMH. This school currently has an Ofsted report rated ‘Good’. As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting teachers and students in KS2. You will work closely with our teachers to support children with Behaviour needs across the school. This role involves assisting students in their learning, providing targeted interventions, and ensuring that each child has access to the curriculum.

This role offers the chance to work alongside experienced educators, gain valuable classroom experience, and make a real difference in the lives of our students

To be successful you must be able to:

Communicate clearly with Teachers and young individuals

Create an encouraging learning environment for pupils

Be understanding and caring

Carry out tasks involving a computer or hand-device

Remain calm during stressful situations

Work on different activities conducted inside and outside school premises

Previous experience working with children with Behaviour needs in a school setting is desirable

To work with GSL Education as a Behaviour Teaching Assistant, you should:

Have the right to work in the UK

Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years

Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education
