Job Title: Teaching Assistant - Year 6 SATs support
Location: Oldham
Salary: £415 - £475 per week, depending on experience and qualifications.
Start/End date: April 22nd 2025 - July 23rd 2025

Role:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 6 SATs Support Teaching Assistant to join the team at a lovely Ofsted 'good' school in Oldham. This role is crucial in providing support to Year 6 pupils as they prepare for their SATs assessments. The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher to ensure all students receive the support and guidance they need to succeed in their exams. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact on the academic progress of children during a pivotal time in their education.
Key Requirements:
- Prior experience as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school or a relevant qualification (such as a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant Certificate).
- Support Year 6 students in preparation for their SATs assessments, providing individual and group assistance with revision.
- Work closely with the class teacher to implement tailored interventions and learning strategies.
- Assist in the delivery of English and Mathematics lessons, focusing on SATs-related content and skills development.
- A proven background in providing support to both individual students and entire classes, particularly with children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
- High expectations for student learning and the ability to facilitate access to the full curriculum, fostering confidence and independence in learners.
