Our client is an established and dynamic IT services provider based in Oldham with 14 years of success, specialising in supporting businesses across various industries such as healthcare, construction, and education. They're on the hunt for a Junior IT Support Specialist to join their growing team. The Ideal Candidate:
They're looking for someone with some IT helpdesk experience, but more importantly, someone who's passionate about delivering excellent customer service and strong troubleshooting skills. If you're a social, friendly, and confident communicator who enjoys client-facing roles, this could be the perfect fit. The role requires a driving license and a car, as there will be visits to client sites, where you'll get hands-on experience.
The Role:
Your days will be varied, keeping you engaged with both technical support and project work. Here's a glimpse of what you'll get up to:
** Helpdesk Support: Resolve both software and hardware issues, providing top-tier support to internal and external clients. Your solutions will have an immediate impact on the day-to-day productivity of the company's clients, ensuring their tech runs smoothly.
** Client Visits: Travel to different sites (must have a car and driving license) to assist with IT setups and support. This provides you with the opportunity to build strong client relationships while expanding your technical expertise.
** Server Installations: Help install and configure servers as part of larger IT infrastructure projects. You'll be at the forefront of hands-on technology implementations that shape the backbone of businesses.
** Cyber Security Projects: Once you've passed probation, you'll be deployed on exciting security and penetration testing projects.
Tech Stack & Tools:
** Microsoft stack (Windows Server, Active Directory, Office 365, etc.)
** Familiarity with helpdesk tools (IT service management platforms)
** Bonus: Linux and Network knowledge would be great, but not essential.
