Job Description:

Our client is looking for an experienced Senior IT Support Engineer to join their Managed Services team in assisting over 150 customers in a variety of industries (30 mile radius of Oldham) with IT Support.

You will be visiting different client sites, as well as well working on the helpdesk and working alongside the projects team. A driving licence and access to own car is required. Phone, email and remote support will also be provided to ensure all issues are resolved quickly and efficiently.

Responsibilities:

  • On-site visits to various client sites providing IT support and services
  • Assist with other departments including ongoing internal and external projects
  • Maintaining, updating and upgrading infrastructure
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues
  • Install and monitor computer hardware, software, systems and networks
  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of IT documentation

Technical and personable skill requirements:

  • Wi-Fi Setups / Connectivity
  • Active Directory, Backup Solutions
  • Office 365 management
  • SharePoint
  • MDM Setups via Intune or other(s)
  • Azure / Entra IT (desirable)
  • Network protocols - DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP
  • Router/Switch setups, firewall management (desirable)
  • 3CX Phone Systems (desirable)
  • Driving Licence / Access to own car

Highly Desired:

  • MSP Experience
  • Local to Oldham
  • Immediate starts
