About Us: We are a welcoming and vibrant school in Oldham dedicated to providing our students with nutritious and delicious meals every day. We are looking for a friendly and reliable Catering Assistant to join our team. If you have a passion for food and enjoy working in a school environment, we would love to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and serving of meals to students and staff.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, ensuring all hygiene and safety standards are met.
  • Assist with washing up and general cleaning duties in the kitchen.
  • Help with the setting up and clearing away of the dining area.
  • Ensure all food is stored correctly and maintain an awareness of food allergies and dietary requirements.
  • Provide excellent customer service to students, staff, and visitors.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a catering or kitchen assistant role is preferred but not essential.
  • Basic food hygiene certificate is an advantage, but training will be provided.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills and a friendly, approachable manner.
  • A commitment to providing high-quality meals in a school environment.
  • Punctual, reliable, and able to manage time effectively.
