Head of Conveyancing - Manchester
A highly reputable, multi service law firm which has an fantastic reputation across the North West is looking for a Head of Conveyancing or Solicitor looking to take a step up to join and lead their high performing property department in Greater Manchester. This is an ideal opportunity for a Qualified Conveyancer who has experience managing to take a step up to lead a department.
Remuneration & benefits
- £50,000 - £55,000
- Hybrid working available once settled in
- Generous bonus scheme
- 25 days annual leave + Bank Holiday
The Role
- Lead and oversee a busy conveyancing team, ensuring efficiency and excellence in client service
- Provide strategic guidance on case management, risk assessment, and legal best practices.
- Manage a varied and complex caseload of Freehold, Leasehold, Sale, Purchase, Re-mortgage and TOE transactions from inception to completion
- Drive business development and networking efforts, expanding the firm’s client base and service offerings
- Build and maintain strong relationships with the clients
- Mentor and manage a small team of solicitors, associates, and support staff, ensuring continued professional growth and high performance
- Delegate work to the assistants and support staff
The Candidate
- Qualified Solicitor with significant experience in residential property law and Regulatory Compliance
- A proven track record of leading, mentoring, and developing a team
- Experience handling complex and high-value property transactions
- A commercially focused mindset, with a proactive approach to business development
- Strong client relationship management skills, with the ability to offer clear and strategic legal advice
- Proficiency in case management systems and strong IT literacy
