Conveyancing Assistant – OldhamDouglas Scott is recruiting for an experienced Conveyancing Assistant to join an established law firm in Oldham. Role Overview: You will support Fee Earners in all aspects of Residential Conveyancing, handling tasks with minimal supervision. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Providing quotes to clients via an online portal.
  • Opening, managing, and closing files using a case management system.
  • Liaising with estate agents, solicitors, mortgage brokers, and clients.
  • Preparing contract packs and drafting SDLT returns.
  • Handling post-completion tasks (AP1s, requisitions, notice of transfer/charge).
  • General administrative support, including correspondence and telephone calls.
Requirements:
  • Experience with Case Management systems and client interaction.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • High attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, and standard IT systems.
  • At least 1 year of experience in conveyancing.
