Training Instructor

Location: Oldham (travel to client sites required)

Are you a passionate and experienced Training Instructor looking for a new opportunity? Our client, a well-established organisation, is seeking a dynamic individual to join their team as a Training Instructor. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality training and contributing to the overall success of the training operations.

What you'll do:

  • Ensure the health, safety, and welfare of all course delegates and colleagues during training sessions.
  • Adapt instructional methods and strategies to meet diverse learner needs.
  • Effectively communicate information to learners using appropriate learning strategies.
  • Complete course paperwork accurately and promptly.
  • Contribute to the review and development of training course content and materials.
  • Assist with the management and deployment of Personal Fall Protection Equipment (PFPE).
  • Maintain personal equipment and uniform in a presentable manner.
  • Participate in business development activities and events.
  • Handle day-to-day issues and provide feedback to the Training Manager.
  • Represent the organisation at meetings, seminars, exhibitions, and presentations.
  • Assist with the development of risk assessments and method statements.
  • Travel within the UK and overseas when required.
  • Ensure courses are delivered effectively by planning travel to client venues.
  • Continuously maintain and develop technical expertise in subject areas.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills in communication.

What we're looking for:

  • Physical fitness and ability to perform duties at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Previous experience in adult vocational training.
  • Nationally regulated vocational training and assessment qualifications.
  • Experience and certification in working at height, rescue, and confined spaces.
  • Competency in inspecting Personal Fall Protection Equipment (PFPE).
  • Comprehensive knowledge of PFPE and confined spaces related products.
  • First aid certificate (EFAW, FAW, FREC, etc.).
  • Full driving licence.

Qualifications - Education & Experience

  • Previous adult vocational training experience in the sector.
  • Nationally regulated vocational training and assessment qualifications (e.g. NVQ, PTLLS, CTLLS, EAT, D32/33, A1 Assessor).
  • Experience and certification to evidence occupational competency in working at height, rescue and confined spaces including equipment procedures and practice.
  • Competent Person for the Inspection of PFPE.
  • Comprehensive PFPE and Confined Spaces related product knowledge.
  • First aid certificate (e.g. EFAW, FAW, FREC etc.).
  • Full driving license.
