We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer with machine tool experience to work within a small team for a manufacturer near Oldham. The focus of the role is mainly the production machinery which is heavy CNC Machinery.

Maintenance Engineer - Role and Responsibilities - Machine Tool, CNC, Mechanical, Electrical

* Carry out routine maintenance work (reactive and PPMs) on machine tool equipment
* Maintenance of machines within the manufacturing cell, which includes CNC machinery (e.g. grinding, milling and turning machines)
* Produce monthly reports for senior management, summarising key action points for maintenance and service work
* Undertake any additional, reasonable and appropriate duties as required from time-to-time, taking into account relevant qualifications, knowledge and experience

Maintenance Engineer - Skills and Abilities - Machine Tool, CNC, Mechanical, Electrical

* Experience of machine tool service and maintenance techniques
* A strong understanding of heavy CNC metal cutting machinery of varying ages
* Ability to deal with conflicting manufacturing requirements speedily, devising  repair schedules to resolve machine breakdowns
* Able to adapt to continuously changing priorities in a time-led, production  environment
* Agile and able to meet the physical demands of repairing large CNC machinery
