Description
- Implementing routine maintenance procedures and ensuring all machinery is up to standard.
- Quickly diagnosing and repairing any mechanical faults or malfunctions in machinery.
- Advising on potential improvements to increase operational efficiency.
- Provide on-site support for troubleshooting mechanical, electrical and control systems issues.
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
- Collaborating with the Production team to solve complex issues.
- Documenting all maintenance and repair work for future reference.
- Assisting in the installation of new machinery and equipment.
- Provide training and guidance to apprentice/s
- Keeping up-to-date with advancements in engineering and manufacturing processes in the FMCG industry.
Profile
A successful Maintenance Engineer should have:
- A formal qualification in Engineering or a related field-ideally apprentice trained.
- Experience in a similar role within the FMCG industry/Manufacturing
- Strong problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations within the engineering and manufacturing industry.
- A proactive attitude towards maintaining and improving machinery efficiency.
- Driving license (occasinally travel to other local sites)
Job Offer
- 40 hour week, over 4 days
- Early finish on a Friday
- Salary of up to £40,000
