Role:
We are seeking a skilled PCB Repair Engineer with hands-on experience in component replacement, microscopic soldering, and working with both through-hole and surface mount techniques. In this role, the PCB Repair Engineer will focus on restoring boards that are often 20-30 years old and highly sensitive, with many requiring extensive track and eyelet repairs. Damage on these boards requires an engineer who can reliably work down to component level and put each board right, ensuring it functions seamlessly in the rail system.

Key Skills Required:

  • PCB repair expertise, particularly for legacy rail components
  • Component replacement and precise PCB Repair Engineer skills for surface mount and through-hole techniques
  • Knowledge of IPC-A-610 & IPC-7711C standards is nice to have, but if not will be taught, so a chance to upskill
  • Proficiency in microscopic soldering
  • Eyelet and track repair abilities
  • Strong understanding of schematic diagrams and the ability to follow detailed soldering instructions
