The key responsibilities of a Payroll Assistant includes:
- Managing and processing payroll in a timely and accurate manner.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant payroll legislation and company policies.
- Reconciling payroll discrepancies and resolving any payroll related issues.
- Maintaining employee payroll records and updating employee payroll information as needed.
- Coordinating with the HR team to verify staff absences and update payroll records.
- Preparing and submitting documents for tax and other deductions.
- Contributing to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
Profile
A successful Payroll Assistant should have:
- Previous experience working in a Payroll environment ideally in-house.
- Proficient understanding of payroll software systems.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Good understanding of taxation and other payroll related legislation.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
