Merchandising / Buying Team Leader

Our Client is a leading importer of beautiful home textiles, supplying major retailers in the UK and due to their ever-expanding growth they now have an excellent opportunity for a Team Leader to join the team looking after a major retail client.

**Candidates must have strong analytical skills and experience managing critical paths**

Responsibilities:

  • Head up critical path by working and supporting all teams/departments
  • Working closely with factories understanding capabilities, capacities, production lead-times, ensure they are securing delivery times
  • Identifying and resolving production and supply problems
  • Managing, training, and supervising teams
  • To be quick-thinking and able to make sound decisions-based data
  • Being aware that things can change quickly, and deadlines need to be met
  • Supporting Senior Management create plans, strategies etc

Candidates will have strong analytical skills and advanced Excel skills. You will be experienced in managing critical paths. Candidates with experience in home textiles and / or supply to retail will be of particular interest.
