Job Title: Managing Quantity Surveyor
Location: Oldham, Greater Manchester
Salary: up to 70,000 + 6,000 car allowance, 25 days annual leave + bank holidays, private pension, healthcare and 10% bonus

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Managing Quantity Surveyor to join a large main contractor at their offices in Oldham. The Managing Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for the development of a small team and overseeing work for a large housing association in the North West. This will include reactive maintenance, voids, planned works and compliance.

Working closely with the Commercial Manager, the Managing Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for the effective financial management during all stages of each project. Your other responsibilities will include:

  • Subcontractor management from procurement through to settlement of accounts
  • Prepare monthly cost value reports
  • Manage the change orders and variation accounts
  • External valuations
  • Risk management
  • Mentor other surveyors within your team
