Location: Oldham, Greater Manchester
Salary: 48,000 to 55,000 + 5,000 car allowance, 25 days annual leave + bank holidays, private pension, healthcare and 10% bonus

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quantity Surveyor to join a large main contractor at their offices in Oldham. The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for their own portfolio of work for a large housing association in the North West. This will include reactive maintenance, voids, planned works and compliance.

Working closely with the Managing Quantity Surveyor, the Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for the effective financial management of various packages of work across a portfolio of projects with the same client. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Control all project expenditure
  • Assist the site teams with pre-start meetings covering planning & programming
  • Change management
  • Subcontractor procurement and commercial management
  • Work closely with the Contract Manager and subcontractors throughout the procurement process
  • Process payments
  • Attend project progress meetings
