Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor - Healthcare Sector Property Development
Location: - Flexible working - Home based with 1 or 2 days a week office based in Yorkshire, travel required to clients and development sites as required through working week
Salary Range: £60k-£65k

The projects range from additional buildings on hospital land to car parks and healthcare services facilities, each valued between £5M and £20M. The Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Quantity Surveyor to assist with the commercial development of key projects from concept to completion. This role is pivotal in ensuring our projects not only meet but exceed the expectations of our clients and stakeholders. You will be the linchpin between our clients and construction teams, turning visions into reality with efficiency, creativity, and excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Interaction: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, understanding their needs, developing schemes alongside them, and ensuring their visions are brought to life.
Pre Construction commercial development: Engage with early market testing, Oversee Estimates and process project costs with the client, package pricing for initial development of projects.
Contractor Procurement and Management: Identify, procure, and manage suitable main contractors, ensuring they have the capability to deliver complex schemes. Monitor contractor performance and compliance with contractual obligations, particularly under JCT contracts. (Ideally JCT D&B)
Ideal Candidate:
Experience: Significant quantity surveying experience in property development and/or the construction sector particularly within the healthcare or public sector. Experience with projects ranging from £5M to £20M is highly desirable.
Knowledge of JCT Contracts: A strong understanding of JCT contracts and experience managing these contracts in construction projects will be considered an advantage.
Sector Knowledge: Previous experience in healthcare or public sector new build projects is highly advantageous.
Skills: Exceptional communication, negotiation, and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
Qualifications: A degree in Quantity Surveying, or a related field is preferred. MRICS would be an advantage
