Acting asprincipal contractor, they generally deal with end clients and work withmany blue-chip companies in the UK and Europe.

A typical project would be tooverseethe installation of electrical &mechanical building services intodata centre environments.With a strong commitment to delivering high-quality projects, theyhave established themselves as a key player in the industry and their portfolio of projects & blue-chip clients is growing rapidly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough cost analysis and provide accurate estimates for construction projects.
  • Manage and monitor project budgets, ensuring cost control and adherence to financial guidelines.
  • Collaborate with project teams to assess and mitigate potential risks related to cost and contracts.
  • Act as mentor to less experienced teammembers
  • Prepare and negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Provide ongoing financial updates and reports to project stakeholders.
  • Conduct occasional site visits (this is largely an office-based role)to assess progress, identify variations, and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Work closely with the project management team to optimize financial performance and achieve project objectives.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts, cost management, and procurement processes. NEC & JCT contract experience advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficient in the use of relevant software tools for quantity surveying.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
