Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Workshop Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and servicing a range of plant equipment, including excavators, telehandlers, and rollers.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintenance and Repair:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on excavators, telehandlers, and rollers.
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults and implement solutions.
  • Ensure equipment is serviced to high standards and manufacturer specifications.

Servicing:

  • Conduct regular servicing to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
  • Keep accurate records of all servicing and repairs.

Inspection and Testing:

  • Carry out thorough inspections and testing to identify potential issues.
  • Ensure equipment is safe and compliant with regulations and standards.

Parts Management:

  • Order and manage spare parts and consumables.
  • Maintain an organised inventory of parts and tools.

Documentation:

  • Complete detailed reports on maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
  • Maintain up-to-date records in the maintenance management system.

Health and Safety:

  • Adhere to health and safety regulations and company policies.

Qualifications and Experience for Workshop Engineer:

  • Relevant technical qualification in mechanical or electrical engineering.
  • Proven experience in maintaining and repairing plant equipment.
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Valid driving license.
