We are looking for a mechanical/electrical Workshop Engineer to join Karcher, a global leader in cleaning technology. This role is all about delivering world class service, ensuring high quality repairs and maintenance, and supporting customers by keeping their equipment in peak condition.

If you have technical expertise in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, or auto electrical systems and enjoy working in a hands on site role, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

Key Responsibilities for the Workshop Engineer

  • Carry out diagnostics, servicing, and repairs on Karcher/ non-Karcher municipal cleaning equipment
  • Perform pre-delivery inspections, including cleaning and cosmetic repairs
  • Use Karcher's diagnostic system to ensure efficient fault finding and repair quality
  • Maintain detailed and accurate repair records using a PDA system
  • Work closely with the Team Leader to meet productivity, efficiency, and KPI targets
  • Manage stock levels and ensure company assets are well maintained
  • Follow Health & Safety regulations and maintain accreditation status
  • Provide exceptional customer service and be a custodian of the Karcher brand

Skills, attributes and experience required for the Workshop Engineer

  • Proven experience in a service, maintenance, or technical repair role
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and/or auto-electrical systems
  • Able to read wiring diagrams
  • High level of diagnostic and problem solving skills
  • Comfortable using, Google, and CRM systems
  • Self-motivated, highly organised, and able to work independently
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills, with a customer-focused mindset

Desirable (Not Essential)

  • Experience in the cleaning industry or working with competitor products
    Familiarity with pneumatics, batteries, and engine systems
