Computer Science Teacher

Computer Science teacher - Oldham - November start Prospero teaching are recruiting for a full time computer science teacher at a secondary school on the outskirts of Oldham, from after the October half term break then for the remainder of the current academic year, in July. The ideal candidate will be a fully qualified Computer Science teacher, have a degree related to Computer Science and sound knowledge of the National Curriculum. It is essential that you have recent experience teaching computer science in the UK and that you have recently taught the latest curriculum to key stage 3 & 4 classes. You will be expected to plan and deliver engaging lessons that are designed to stretch the pupils and raise the attainment in the department. You will also be expected to mark the work and provided feedback to pupils and attend departmental meetings as and when required. CONTRACT DETAILS Computer Science teacher Oldham teaching key stage 3 & 4 This is a full-time position November start End date July 2025 EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS Hold a BA and PGCE in Computer Science Confident with teaching Computer science Confident teaching general cover classes to KS3 & 4 Creative, patient and willing to think outside of the box Innovative and creative teaching strategies and lessons Aim to strive towards good and outstanding standards ICT capable with interactive whiteboards etc. TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST: UK classroom teaching experience Eligibility to work in the UK Be able to provide 2 professional references A fully enhanced DBS that is on the update service, or be willing to obtain a new one Up to date safeguarding training issued in the last year (essential, however, training can be provided) Up to date prevent awareness training issued in the last 3 years (essential, however, training can be provided) If you would like to be considered for this role, please apply with a copy of your up to date CV today.
