Hours: 38 per week, Monday-Thursday 8.30am - 5pm, Friday 8.30am - 2.30pm


Salary: 32,000- 37,000 p.a. dependent on experience + company vehicle + fuel card


Company/Position


Excellent opportunity to join a growing company with an excellent reputation. My client operates within the sheet metal machinery market across the UK and Ireland. They are looking for an experienced Field Service Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis. You will travel to client sites to install, service and repair a variety of machines such as: Forming Machines, Laser Cutting Machines, Power Presses & Hydraulic Presses.


Example of Responsibilities:
  • Travel to client sites to install/repair/commission sheet metal machinery.
  • Servicing can include hydraulic repairs, lubrication and changing switches/sensors.
  • Fault finding using Siemens TIA portal.
  • Provide engineering support to customers.
  • Interpret wiring diagrams to ensure repairs are carried out in accordance with manufacturers requirements.
  • Training customers on correct operation of machinery.
  • Act in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Ensure health and safety is adhered to at all times.

Essential skills:
  • Competent with electrical and hydraulic engineering repairs.
  • PLC experience using Siemens TIA portal would be desirable but not essential.
  • Previous experience with machine tool products, such hydraulic presses, would be preferred.
  • Flexibility to travel and also stay away from home when required.
  • Full UK driving licence with less than 6 penalty points.
