Learning Support Assistant - Full-Time - School-Based - Oldham (OL1 or M35- Failsworth)

Monday-Friday 8:30am-3:30pm

We are looking for a Learning Support Assistant to join a school in Oldham on a full-time basis. This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with students who need additional support to thrive in their education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with additional learning needs.
  • Assist teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
  • Help students develop confidence, independence, and positive learning behaviours.
  • Support students with special educational needs (SEN) and those who require extra guidance.
  • Implement tailored learning strategies to help students overcome barriers to learning.
  • Promote a safe and supportive learning environment.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children or young people in an educational or support role.
  • A patient, compassionate, and encouraging approach.
  • Understanding of special educational needs (SEN) and how to support diverse learning needs.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • A relevant qualification in Education, Childcare, or Support Work (desirable but not essential).
  • An understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
