We are seeking dedicated and experienced Registered Homes Managers for two childrens residential homes located in Oldham and Ashton-under-Lyne. You will play a key role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the homes, supporting children and young people with special educational needs, disabilities, and social/emotional challenges.
Our client is a not-for-profit interest company that provides wrap around support services and intervention for children, young people and families who have an outstanding reputation in their field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily operations of one residential home (each with single occupancy beds).
- Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations and provide a safe, supportive environment.
- Willingness to complete OFSTED Registration.
- Oversee and develop care plans for young people in collaboration with staff and professionals.
- Lead and manage staff, ensuring mandatory training and effective performance.
- Promote positive relationships with families, social workers, and other stakeholders.
- Maintain safeguarding, child protection, and welfare standards.
- Work flexibly to meet the needs of the home, including occasional evening and weekend work.
Skills & Experience:
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
- Minimum 5 years experience in childrens residential care, with 2 years in a management role.
- Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare (Or Equivalent).
- Full UK driving license.
- Strong knowledge of Ofsted compliance and care standards.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
