Advanced Practitioner - PermanenceLocation: OldhamSalary: up to £48,474 with a £2,000 retention paymentJob Type: Full-time, Hybrid working available

We are seeking an Advanced Practitioner within our permanence team to ensure the well-being and stability of children who are unable to remain with their birth families. This role requires a professional who can handle complex and challenging cases, provide clinical leadership, and contribute significantly to permanence planning.

Day to Day of the role:Lead and co-work on complex and sensitive cases, ensuring high-quality service delivery and chairing multi-agency meetings as needed.Deliver group supervision within the team, provide reflective supervision, and offer technical advice and guidance to staff.Mentor and shadow colleagues, supporting their learning and training, and assist in decision-making for work with children and their families.Play a key role in leading the implementation of Systemic Practice, developing curiosity, an outcome and impact focus, and relationship-based work with families.Use quality assurance tools to drive improvements for children, ensuring staff development and motivation.Lead practice improvement plans, identify issues interfering with service delivery, and promote solution-finding and opportunities for improvement.Review work such as assessments and plans, giving direction to staff to address any gaps and improve quality.Maintain accurate records and ensure confidentiality of personal information.

Required Skills & Qualifications:A Social Work degree or equivalent recognised Social Work Qualification, e.g., DipSW.Registration with Social Work England.Post Qualifying Training.Experience in motivating and supporting staff and ensuring work is completed to the required standard.Experience in undertaking accurate and sensitive assessments where situations could be complex and high-risk.Skills in assessment and planning with families to bring about the best possible outcomes for children and young people.Ability to critically analyse and reflect on own experiences and interventions with children and families.Knowledge of relevant legislation, codes of practice, National Guidelines, and Government initiatives connected with service delivery in this area of social work.
