Operations Manager – Homelessness Services
  • Salary Range: £23,552 - £25,581 (pro-rata)

  • Job Type: Part-time (24 hours per week)

We are seeking an Operations Manager to lead our homelessness services, focusing on vulnerable women and young parents. This role is crucial in providing a safe, high-quality, and individual service to the individuals and families we work with. The successful candidate will be responsible for safeguarding, building strong relationships with commissioners and key stakeholders, and monitoring, evaluating, and reporting on service provision.

Day to Day of the Role:
  • Lead the front-line homelessness services, ensuring they operate effectively and in line with WHAG strategies, resources, and procedures.
  • Maintain and develop services that are responsive to change, trauma-informed, needs-led, and actively seek the contribution of service users.
  • Encourage a working environment that fosters teamwork, innovation, positivity, and creativity.
  • Provide consistent and responsible line management to staff, students, and volunteers, including recruitment.
  • Implement and motivate continuous improvement across the services.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Management/Housing/Children and young people/women’s studies qualification or equivalent to Diploma/Degree/NVQ 7 or equivalent work level experience.
  • Willingness to achieve a level 7 relevant qualification if not already held.
  • Ability to work across contract areas and travel for training and meetings.
  • Access to a car for work purposes and a full current driving license.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends when required, and be part of an on-call rota.
