Description:
Oldham Council is looking for passionate and dedicated Social Workers to join ourAssessment & Intervention (A&I) Team. This is a fantastic opportunity to be at the forefront of safeguarding children and young people, working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment where early intervention and timely decision-making are key.

Responsibilities:
  • Undertakestatutory assessmentsfor children and families, identifying risks and developing support plans.
  • Providetimely interventionsto protect children from harm and improve their well-being.
  • Work in partnership with families, professionals, and partner agencies todeliver targeted support.
  • Manage a caseload effectively, ensuring high-quality social work practice in line with legislation.
  • Prepare and present reports forcourt proceedings, case conferences, and multi-agency meetings.
  • Advocate for children and families, ensuring their voices are heard in decision-making processes.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications:Degree in Social Work and registration withSocial Work England.
  • Experience:Experience insafeguarding, child protection, or assessment and interventionpreferred.
  • Skills:Strong assessment, risk management, and decision-making skills.
  • Knowledge:Understanding of relevantlegislation, policies, and proceduresrelating to children's social care.
  • Other Requirements:Ability to travel across Oldham.
