We are seeking a dedicated Social Worker to join our fostering team, playing a crucial role in enhancing the well-being of children within the foster care system. This position involves supporting foster families through the licensure process, assessing the suitability of potential foster parents, and providing ongoing support to both children and carers.

Day to Day of the role:Guide prospective foster families through the licensure process and assess their suitability.Match children with foster families, considering the child’s needs and specific requirements.Provide continuous support to foster children and families, including counselling and addressing challenges.Advocate for the child’s rights and manage their case, coordinating with other professionals to create a comprehensive care plan.Support children and biological families in adjusting to foster care placement and work toward reunification if possible.Prepare for and participate in meetings and decision-making forums, such as court appearances and case conferences.Maintain high standards of data quality on social care systems and ensure confidentiality of personal information.

Required Skills & Qualifications:A Social Work degree or equivalent recognised qualification, e.g., DipSW.Registration with SWE.2+ years experience in children's services.Completion of ASYE if qualified post 2012.In-depth knowledge of legislation, codes of practice, and issues affecting the client group.
