Day-to-day of the role:
  • Conduct multi-agency safeguarding assessments to ensure the safety and well-being of children.
  • Collaborate with other professionals within the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) to gather and share information relevant to child protection concerns.
  • Make informed decisions quickly and effectively to safeguard children.
  • Provide advice and support to families, working closely with them to access services that can assist in improving their circumstances.
  • Prepare reports and attend child protection conferences and meetings.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive records in accordance with legal requirements and organisational policies.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Qualified Social Worker with a current registration with Social Work England.
  • Experience in child protection and safeguarding within a social work context.
  • Strong decision-making skills with the ability to assess risks and act in a high-pressure environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.
