Social Worker - Children’s Safeguarding and Care Planning

We are seeking a dedicated Social Worker with a passion for children’s safeguarding to join our team in Oldham. This role is ideal for someone with at least 2 years of experience, particularly in safeguarding or child protection, though candidates from other areas such as Assessment & Intervention are also encouraged to apply. Day-to-day of the role:
  • Assess, plan, and implement interventions to safeguard children and support families.
  • Ensure that children and young people’s needs are met through quality interventions.
  • Maintain high standards of practice within the team, adhering to policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with other professionals and agencies to provide a coordinated response to the needs of children and families.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in social work, ideally in children’s safeguarding or child protection.
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with other professionals and agencies.
