Salary:£36,648 - £40,221 per annum + £2,000 retention payment

Description:
Oldham Council is looking for passionate and dedicated Social Workers to join ourAssessment & Intervention (A&I) Team. Responsibilities:
- Undertakestatutory assessmentsfor children and families, identifying risks and developing support plans.
- Providetimely interventionsto protect children from harm and improve their well-being.
- Work in partnership with families, professionals, and partner agencies todeliver targeted support.
- Manage a caseload effectively, ensuring high-quality social work practice in line with legislation.
- Prepare and present reports forcourt proceedings, case conferences, and multi-agency meetings.
- Advocate for children and families, ensuring their voices are heard in decision-making processes.
- Qualifications:Degree in Social Work and registration withSocial Work England.
- Experience:Experience insafeguarding, child protection, or assessment and interventionpreferred.
- Skills:Strong assessment, risk management, and decision-making skills.
- Knowledge:Understanding of relevantlegislation, policies, and proceduresrelating to children's social care.
- Other Requirements:Ability to travel across Oldham.
