We are seeking a Team Manager to lead a dedicated team of social workers in Oldham. This role is ideal for an experienced social worker looking to step up into a management position or a current Team Manager seeking a new challenge. The focus is on safeguarding children, supporting families in crisis, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality interventions.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Manage and supervise a team of social workers, providing guidance and support to ensure effective service delivery.
  • Assess, plan, and implement interventions to safeguard children and support families.
  • Oversee the professional development of team members, including training and mentoring.
  • Ensure that children and young people’s needs are met through quality interventions.
  • Maintain high standards of practice within the team, adhering to policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with other professionals and agencies to provide a coordinated response to the needs of children and families.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Qualified and experienced social worker.
  • Registered with Social Work England.
  • Previous experience as a Team Manager or a strong background in social work with readiness to step up to a managerial role.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding practices and legislation.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to handle a busy and varied workload effectively.
