Children’s Assessment

Our Client, a Greater Manchester Local Authority, is seeking an Children’s Social Worker to join its Assessment Team.

Fantastic payrate of £39 per hour!

Responsibilities of this role:

  • Undertaking home visits to gather information to establish any safeguarding concerns
  • Initial Child / Family needs assessments
  • S47 enquiries including co ordination of stat meetings and closing S47 if no further action or concern
  • Provide short term interventions
  • Work within the courts, taking statutory action when necessary to protect a chile, including emergency protection order applications and initiation of care proceedings
  • Duty rota cover

Requirements of this role:

  • Must be a Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England.
  • Must have minimum of 2 years experience
  • Must be a car driver, with access to own vehicle.
