- Undertake assessments and care planning for children and young people in care.
- Develop and implement permanence plans that support stability and long-term outcomes.
- Work closely with foster carers, adopters, and connected carers to ensure the best placement matches.
- Advocate for children and young people, ensuring their voices are heard in decision-making.
- Prepare and present reports for reviews, courts, and multi-agency meetings.
- Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to deliver high-quality care and support.
- Qualifications: Degree in Social Work and registration with Social Work England.
- Experience: At least two years' post-qualification experience, ideally within safeguarding, child protection, or permanence.
- Skills: Strong assessment, planning, and decision-making skills.
- Knowledge: Understanding of child development, attachment theory, and permanency planning.
- Other Requirements: Ability to travel across Oldham.
