Are you a dedicated and dynamic social worker looking to make an immediate impact on children’s safety and well-being? Join our Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) Team in Oldham, where you will play a critical role in the early identification and protection of vulnerable children.

About the Role

As a Children’s Social Worker in the Duty and Advice (MASH) Team, you will be responsible for screening referrals, assessing risks, and making informed decisions to safeguard children at the earliest opportunity. Working in a fast-paced, multi-agency environment, you will collaborate with police, health professionals, education providers, and other key partners to ensure children and families receive the right support at the right time.

Key Responsibilities
  • Triage and assess referrals from professionals and the public regarding child welfare concerns.
  • Work in partnership with police, health, education, and other agencies to gather and share relevant information.
  • Make timely and well-evidenced decisions about next steps, including child protection measures or early intervention support.
  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding legislation, policies, and best practices.
  • Provide advice and guidance to professionals and families on child protection and safeguarding concerns.
About You

? A qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England.? Experience in children’s safeguarding, front-line social work, or MASH settings.? Strong knowledge of child protection legislation, risk assessment, and multi-agency working.? Excellent analytical, decision-making, and communication skills.? Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
