Youth Worker - Full-Time - School-Based - Oldham

We are seeking a dedicated Youth Worker to join a school in Oldham on a full-time basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with students, helping them to develop their confidence, social skills, and academic progress.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide mentoring and support to students with social, emotional, and behavioural needs.
- Build positive relationships with young people to encourage engagement in education.
- Work closely with teachers, SEN staff, and external agencies to support students' well-being.
- Plan and deliver interventions to help students develop resilience and coping strategies.
- Support students with transitions, including reintegration into mainstream education or further education pathways.
- Promote a positive and inclusive school environment.
Requirements:
- Experience working with young people in an educational, youth work, or support setting.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- A background in youth work, education, social work, or a related field is desirable.
- Understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies.
- Ability to manage challenging behaviour in a positive and constructive way.
- A relevant qualification in Youth Work, Social Work, Education, or equivalent (desirable).
