I am currently recruiting for enthusiastic and articulate graduates for flexible temporary work as cover supervisors in a large Ofsted Good secondary academy on the Oldham / Rochdale border.

The role is to start immediately on an ad hoc day to day supply basis

The Role

Graduate Cover Supervisor

Working hours are 8.20am to 3.20pm Monday to Friday

The role will include:

  • Taking the lead in the absence of the teacher
  • Sole responsibility for teaching and learning
  • Delivering pre-planned lessons
  • Using provided resources to encourage learning
  • Managing the behaviour within the classroom
  • Developing independent study skills and peer learning
  • Pastoral and learning support
  • Managing handover back to the teacher
  • Experience of teaching or covering PE, Spanish or maths would be beneficial

  • Able to get to Oldham by 8.15 with 30 minutes notice.
