We are looking for a motivated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join our dedicated team in Oldham. This full-time position offers the chance for a temp-to-perm contract, with the potential to extend until the end of the academic year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing tailored support to students with a variety of learning needs
  • Assisting the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
  • Working one-on-one with pupils or in small groups to ensure they receive the targeted support needed
  • Helping to develop and implement personalised learning plans for students
  • Supporting the emotional, social, and academic development of students
  • Promoting a positive, inclusive classroom environment for all learners

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a Learning Support or Teaching Assistant role
  • Experience working with children with additional needs is highly desirable
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents
  • Patience, empathy, and a commitment to supporting students' holistic development
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Relevant qualifications such as a Teaching Assistant certificate (desirable)
