Special Needs Teaching Assistant - Oldham

Are you seeking work as a Special Needs Teaching Assistant? An excellent opportunity has arisen for a reliable and hardworking Special Needs Teaching Assistant in Oldham. You will be given the opportunity to become part of an experienced SEN school with a proven track record for their progression.

The Role:

You will work 1:1 and in small groups with students with special educational needs and learning difficulties. You will be required to effectively manage the behaviour of pupils, implementing key strategies to keep them focused in class. You will also be expected to work alongside the class teacher in planning classroom and outdoor activities, ensuring that they suit the needs of individual pupils.

About You:

This role requires a confident and patient individual who has competent behaviour management skills. You should possess strong differentiated communication skills and be able to work both independently and effectively in a team. You must be able to provide reference details for an educational setting where you have worked within the last 12 months. Special Needs experience is highly desirable, however not essential.
