Job Title: Unqualified Teaching Assistant (SEN Experience Required)

Pay Rate: 14.65 per hour
Contract: Full-Time, Temporary (Immediate Start)



Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to students with a variety of SEN, including autism, ADHD, and learning disabilities
  • Assist in the implementation of individualised education plans (IEPs) and support the delivery of SEN-focused lessons
  • Offer one-to-one or small group support to help students engage with the curriculum
  • Help with behavioural support and encourage positive behaviour in class
  • Support students in social and emotional development, promoting independence where possible
  • Work closely with teaching staff to monitor student progress and adapt support as needed
  • Liaise with parents, carers, and external agencies to ensure the best outcomes for students


Requirements:

  • Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEN in an educational setting is essential
  • Understanding of different SEN needs and strategies to support these students effectively
  • Ability to adapt and be flexible to the individual needs of students
  • Patient, empathetic, and positive attitude toward supporting students with additional needs
  • Strong communication skills to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external professionals
  • Willingness to undertake further training if required
