Cover Supervisor - SEN School
Location: Oldham / Failsworth
Salary: 14.65-15 PH
Hours: Full-time- Monday-Friday 8:30am-3:30pm
Contract Type: Permanent

Our School caters to students with a variety of needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges, physical disabilities, and complex learning difficulties. The Role
As a Cover Supervisor, you will:
- Supervise classes during teacher absences, ensuring that pre-set work is completed.
- Maintain a positive and productive learning environment.
- Support students with their learning, adapting tasks to meet their individual needs.
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school's policies and ethos.
- Collaborate with teaching assistants and other staff to provide tailored support for students.
- Participate in school activities and contribute to the wider school community.
What We're Looking For
We are seeking someone who is:
- Experienced working with children or young people, ideally in an SEN setting.
- Calm, patient, and empathetic, with a genuine passion for supporting students with additional needs.
- Able to manage challenging situations with a positive and proactive approach.
- Confident in leading and engaging groups of students.
- Adaptable and resilient, thriving in a fast-paced school environment.
- Qualified with GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths; additional qualifications in education or SEN are desirable but not essential.
