Location: Oldham OL8

Hours: Full-time- Monday-Friday 8:30am-3:30pm.

Our school is a supportive and inclusive SEN school that provides a nurturing environment for children with a range of needs, including Autism, SEMH, and complex learning disabilities. We are dedicated to promoting the well-being, independence, and personal development of our students.

The Role:

We are looking for a proactive and innovative Activity Coordinator to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will design, organize, and deliver a wide range of engaging activities that support our students' educational and personal development goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver creative, inclusive, and age-appropriate activities tailored to individual student needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and support staff to align activities with learning objectives and individual education plans (IEPs).
  • Foster a safe, positive, and stimulating environment that encourages participation and builds confidence.
  • Organize school-wide events, such as themed days, sports activities, and creative workshops.
  • Ensure all activities comply with health and safety regulations and safeguarding policies.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of activities, adapting where necessary to meet the evolving needs of students.

Essential Requirements:

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN in an educational, care, or recreational setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A good understanding of safeguarding and health and safety practices.

Desirable:

  • Experience in activity planning and delivery.
  • Team Teach or similar de-escalation training.
  • Qualifications in sports, arts, or other activity-based disciplines.
